New online course: homeschool teacher training for kids who learn differently

by Kathy Kuhl      I can help you customize your homeschool with a new online course–think of it as homeschool teacher training. I’ll keep it succinct and you’ll be able to complete it at your own pace. I know how little time you have.

Feeling unprepared? I did. Despite teaching middle school beforehand, I wondered if I could homeschool my distractible, dyslexic child. He was struggling in elementary school. If those teachers couldn’t teach him, how could I? But we found ways to customize from grades 4 through 12.

Homeschooling lets you customize your goals, curriculum, schedule, activities, and instruction methods. You can build around your child’s strengths and talents, while addressing their weaknesses. You can outsource instruction for subjects you can’t teach.

After homeschooling, I interviewed 64 families homeschooling students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or other diagnosed learning disabilities to write the handbook I wish I’d had when we started, Homeschooling Your Struggling Learner.  For years, I’ve been help parents around the world customize their homeschool to provide better education for kids who learn differently.

What do you want to learn?

I’m considering creating a short online course so you can customize your homeschool, too. But what would you want to learn in this homeschool teacher training?
